Welcome to Amistad High School, home of the Eagles!
Amistad is an alternative education program that provides students a non-traditional path to a high school diploma and beyond. As a California Department of Education Model Continuation High School, our program utilizes an innovative 9-week quarter system that allows students to earn credits towards their high school diploma quicker than at a traditional high school. This structure allows students that have fallen behind the opportunity to catch up and, in some cases, even accelerate. All courses offered at Amistad High School are taught by highly-qualified teachers, are standards-based, and meet the graduation requirements at all DSUSD high schools.
In addition to the core academic courses required for graduation, Amistad offers a wide variety of academic supports, elective courses, and co-curricular activities. Amistad proudly offers Career Technical Education courses and co-enrollment courses through College of the Desert. Please note that our concurrent enrollment COD HVAC class will be available online, at minimum for the first semester. It is our goal for all Amistad students to be college, career and life ready.
